定語從句的引導詞
一、引導詞按先行詞的種類分，共分5類:
1.當先行詞是人時：who whom whose （在正式文體中指人的一般沒有that,此處不記that）
2.當先行詞是物的時候：that which whose
3.當先行詞是時間的時候：that which when
4.當先行詞是地點的時候：that which where
5.當先行詞是原因的時候：that which why
==>定語從句的引導詞有who,whom,whose,that,which,when,where,why,一共8個.
（1）到底是誰決定了定語從句引導詞的用法？
先看幾個例子吧：
I will never forget the day _when__ I met you.
that(代詞)代詞充當什么成分：主語，賓語，表語,which跟着that，when是副詞，不充當主語，謂語，賓語==》when
I will never forget the day _that_ we spent.（可以that的話不寫which）
You had better have some reason _why_ you are late.
You had better have some reason _who_ sounds person.

1）先行詞和2）引導詞在從句中能夠充當的成分共同決定了定語從句引導詞的用法
二、定語從句的引導詞還可以根據引導詞的詞性來分類，一共把引導詞分成2類：
1.代詞（在從句中一定可以充當主語或賓語的成分）:
who whom that which(代詞)
2.副詞（不充當主語，謂語，賓語）where when why
3.whose（形容詞）--在從句中修飾離它最近的名詞
練習題：
1）Boys _whose_ families keeps mwealthy never fail to fascinate me.
2）The rose _that_ the Nightingale exchanged with his life was discarded.
3）The senior citizen passed away on the day _when_ his son arrived.
