1. Thing 事物，東西 ,（詞義廣泛）
例: What thing is that on the floor?
地板上是什么東西?
The first thing to do is have dinner.
第一件事就是吃飯。
2. stuff 材料， 原料，（非正式, 不明事物）東西
例: What stuff is that on the ground ? 地上是什么東西?
Put all stuffs into the file folder.
把所有的材料放進文件夾。
3. Object 物體，東西
例: What object is that far away ?
遠處是什么東西?
He is looking at an object on land.
他正看着陸地上某個物體。
同樣都表示的是東西，兩者還是有區別的。
stuff說的是那些不可數名詞，而thing說的是那些可數名詞，所以有復數形式things而沒有stuffs。
但是現在人們口語中常會說到 XXX stuff也就是和此相關的事。
例如：We talk about the hero stuff我們談談超能力的事
Let's meet for school stuff讓我們見面去聊聊學校的事
口頭語中常見的還有 XXXX and stuff 諸如此類等等的意思
例如： I don't eat meat and stuff我不喜歡吃肉什么的。
