穩定版（stable）
穩定版包含了 Debian 官方最近一次發行的軟件包。
作為 Debian 的正式發行版本，它是我們優先推薦給用戶您選用的版本。
當前 Debian 的穩定版版本號是 10，開發代號為 buster。最初版本為 10，於 2019年07月06日 發布，其更新 10.6 已於 2020年09月26日 發布。
測試版（testing）
測試版包含了那些暫時未被收錄進入穩定版的軟件包，但它們已經進入了候選隊列。使用這個版本的最大益處在於它擁有更多版本較新的軟件。
當前的測試版版本代號是 bullseye。
不穩定版（unstable）
不穩定版存放了 Debian 現行的開發工作。通常，只有開發者和那些喜歡過驚險刺激生活的人選用該版本。推薦使用不穩定版的用戶訂閱 debian-devel-announce 郵件列表，以接收關於重大變更的通知，比如有可能導致問題的升級。
不穩定版的版本代號永遠都被稱為 sid。有說sid是still in development的縮寫等說法

穩定版相當於Windows的半年更新頻道，但保守程度實際上介於半年頻道和長期服務頻道。建議在服務器或者穩定性要求很高的場合使用。一部分穩定版是長期支持（LTS）版本，相當於Windows的長期服務頻道（LTSC），這些版本具有“三年的完整支持以及額外兩年的長期支持”。

來看下其中的說明debian-cd-1.iso 、debian-cd-2.iso等說明 基本上debian-cd-1.iso這樣的文件時可啟動的，主要作用是為了安裝操作系統，debian-cd-2.iso、debian-cd-3.iso等通常是不可啟動的，主要是為了安裝額外的軟件，一般不需要下載，如果需要安裝額外軟件，一般直接通過網絡方式下載，而非從debian-cd-2.iso文件中安裝額外軟件，說明如下：
