在VM里給Red Hat 9.0安裝VMTools后重啟，在系統啟動過程中出現三處提示，分別為：
第一處：Mounting local filesystem: Error: Cannot mount filesystem: Protocol error [FAILED]
第二處：Starting vmware-tools: Starting VMware Tools services in the virtual machine:
Switching to guest configuration:
Guest filesystem driver:
Mounting HGFS share:VMware hgfs: HGFS is disabled in the host [FAILED]
第三處：Mounting other filesystem: VMware hgfs: HGFS is disabled in the host Error: cannot mount filesystem: Protocol error [FAILED]
解決方法：
關閉(一定要先關閉)VM上的系統，右鍵點擊虛擬機，打開"虛擬機設置（settings）"，切換到"選項（options）"標簽，點擊"共享文件夾（shared folders）"，默認是禁用狀態，鼠標選中此項，在右邊的"文件夾共享(folder sharing)"中，選擇”總是啟用(always enabled)“，可以在下面的方框中選擇"添加（add）"，選擇需要在Linux中共享的win下文件夾。最后點擊”確定“即可。
再啟動VM里的系統，剛才的錯誤提示沒有了。並且可以通過 ls /mnt/hgfs命令，看到你剛剛共享的文件夾，在linux系統中就可以運用這個文件夾內的內容了。
